AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

🎉 Just earned my AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification! 🚀

I’ll be honest - this was one of the most challenging exams I’ve taken. The AWS DevOps Professional certification truly lives up to its reputation as one of the hardest AWS certifications.

What made it particularly tough:

The reality of preparation costs: One thing they don’t always mention - you’ll need to spend money to properly prepare. Testing out CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy in real scenarios is essential. These services aren’t free-tier friendly when you’re building comprehensive CI/CD pipelines, so budget for AWS costs during your study period. Walao, the bills can add up!

Key focus areas that really matter:

The hands-on experience with AWS developer tools is absolutely crucial - you can’t just memorize theory for this one. Confirm plus chop.

My advice: If you’re planning to take this exam, make sure you have solid experience with both the Developer Associate and SysOps Associate level knowledge first. And yes, prepare your wallet for the practice costs! Don’t be kiasu - invest in proper hands-on practice.

Worth every bit of effort though. This certification validates advanced technical expertise that’s highly valued in the DevOps world. Shiok feeling when you pass!
